L.A. Girl Luxury Creme Lip Color Swatches/Review

Hey guys! I took another short break from blogging because I have been distracted with other projects...that you will find out about soon! ;)

So today I'm showing you more of my Cherry Culture haul. I decided to try these L.A. Girl Luxury Creme Lip Color out on a whim. There were tons of colors to choose from and the claim of moisturizing plus pigmented color caught my attention.

I can't really wear normal lipsticks because they dry my lips out too much even after trying many lip treatments, and primers. So now I look for highly pigmented glosses. But these cremes turned out to be a great alternative to that! They are really soft and creamy with a high color payoff.

So here are the colors I bought. L-R: Last Night, Endless Kisses, and Sinful.

So even though these are super cheap (on sale now for $2.50 each!) the packaging didn't seem flimsy or cheaply made. Plus their kinda cute!

Here are some quick swatches of these for reference. I tried finding some before I purchased them, but didn't find a whole lot. I don't know about you guys, but finding blogger's swatches before I buy makeup has become a must for me!

This is Last Night.

Endless Kisses.

and Sinful

Like I said before, these are very creamy and moisturizing. I definitely prefer these to the Revlon Lip Butters. There are tons of colors and shades to choose from and they are a great deal! I hope to get more colors in the future.

You can get the L.A. Girl Lip Cremes at Cherry Culture.

Black White 10 Day Challenge Day 1: Black on White

Hi!

Today marks the first time I have done a blogging challenge! Even though it's only 10 days and they are spread out 3 days apart, I hope I can stay committed! :) I was invited to join this challenge by one of my first blogger friends,  the lovely Dolores from Colorful Bottles Blog

So the first day is black on white. I chose Orly Au Champagne as the base. This polish has such a unique finish. I definitely prefer this finish to a creme for white. Then I topped it off with LA Girl Glitter Addict in Uninhibited. Such a simple combo, but I LOVE the effect! Looks like cookies 'n cream right?

Speaking of cookies 'n cream, I made *these* cookies last night that I found on Pinterest. They were sooo yummy!!

Here is a list of the other girls participating in the challenge:

I look forward to seeing what they have come up with!

Zoya Penny

Hi guys!

I just wanted to share a quick mani with you tonight...I hope to have some more exciting things to show you this week! This mani is my version of a palette cleanser. After my last post (the chunky, wrinkly, half moon failure), I chopped my nails down and kept it simple. It felt SO much better! :P

This is Zoya Penny, a pretty metallic copper with full coverage in 2 coats.

And because I can't leave it alone, I had to add glitter. But I chose one that was the same color so it wasn't very obvious. This is LA Girl Glitter Addict in Flamboyant, one coat. I have a polish identical to this in my blog sale (check it out in my tab) only it's Love and Beauty brand.

What's your favorite palette cleanser mani?

LA Girl Cracked Polish

So I am betting that you are really bored if you click on a post about crackle. I am just so over it! I received a couple to review, so I tried to get a little more creative with it.

The base for the first is LA Girl Iron Red. This leans more pink, but it's such a pretty color!

And then it's topped off with LA Girl Shattered. The metallic effect is much more apparent in person, fun, but still not my style. The polish itself worked well though...so no complaints there!

And the second look is purple and white stripes over a white base, and then topped off with LA Girl Shattered. Kinda fun right?

So there you have it...LA Girl Cracked polishes. These come in more colors also...another good brand to try for those of you who aren't tired of crackle!
*Some products sent to mr for review.

Layering with LA Girl Glitters

Hi ladies!

I have some simple layering for you today. With all the polishes I own the possibilities are endless and I could probably play around with different combos all day. haha

The base for these combos is LA Girl Urge. This is a pretty pastel lime green with gold shimmer. I really wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did! This is somewhat sheer, so this is 3 thicker coats. Totally worth it, I think!

For the first layering combo, this is LA Girl Glitter Addict in Inspire. This is a light, rosy pink glitter with different size glitters throughout. Not too simple and not too crazy...this polish is a fun way to play with glitter and not look like a little kid. :P I wore this particular combo topped with LA Girl Diamond Top Coat for 3 days and had no tip wear and it smoothed the glitter out. Usually I get some sort of tip wear by the 2nd day.

And here is one that reminds me of Frankenstein...perfect for Halloween! I think this is my favorite of the 2. It's called Eutopia.

Overall, I am a HUGE fan of these glitters and hope to be the proud owner of all of them at some point! :)

One thing I did want to ask you ladies is, have you noticed the similarities between Forever 21 polishes and LA Girl? Their bottles are identical. And recently, I picked up the copper version of this glitter from Cherry Culture and realized it's the EXACT same as one I had from Forever 21! Weird...

Well that's all I have for now, but I will be back later to show you more! <3

*Some polishes in this post were sent for review in exchange for my honest opinions.

LA Girl: Iron Red

Hey ladies! I am on my trip visiting my family now, but I still have lots to show you during that time!

So today I am showing you LA Girl Iron Red, which is supposed to be a metallic. I picked this one up at Fred Meyer...it was my first time going there and for my area at least, it was a treasure trove of brands I didn't think were locally available! Love it when that happens! haha This color is perfect in one coat...I think it almost looks like a coral/pink.

This combo was created by my lovely husband. This is LA Girl Glitter Addict in Uninhibited. A real funky black glitter, but I think the effect is cool. I saw this on another blog a while back and they compared it to how dirt looks...which it's kind of true! :P

Finally, here is the stamping design. We dotted the tips of the cupcakes, but it doesn't show very well. I think the overall look is whimsical though!

Hope you enjoyed today's post and always thank you for reading! <3
