New from Shimmer Polish Swatches and Review

I have been featuring lots of Shimmer here lately. Turns out the talented creator behind Shimmer is full of great ideas for polish! I am showing you the latest 2 glitters today.

Kelly in one coat over Orly Fresh. This is has pretty iridescent glitters that make it stand out.

And Alessandra over Orly Emberstone in one coat. This one could also be full coverage in more coats.

I can never say enough about how much I love the Shimmer polish formula. It's so easy to work with and never thick.

New Shimmer Polish Swatches!

Hello my lovely readers! 

I'm back from a bit of sporadic posting during the holiday weekend but I've got lots to show you coming up so I should be around for a while!

I'm sure most of you have heard of Shimmer polish, an indie brand. I have previously featured this brand quite a few times now and haven't been disappointed yet! This next group I am about to show you is no exception. So let's get right to it!

This is one coat of Elsa over Dr.'s Remedy Bold Baby Blue. 3 coats would definitely give you a full coverage look.

Next, is Sonia. One coat over Orly Buried Alive. This one is my favorite of this group because of the iridescent glitters in it. They really add something to this already pretty polish!

Jasmine is a fun one. I believe this is 2 coats over OPI Fly. Love the coverage this gets in only 2 coats!

Here is Fanny layered over Zoya Rory in one coat. I love pink, so this is an automatic fave for me!

And finally, we have Jenny. I know I keep saying this, but I love this one! It looks amazing here over China Glaze Blue Year's Eve. What a fun combo of glitters!

Shimmer Swatches Part II

Hello!

More Shimmer for you today! Let's get right to it!

First, we have Taylor. This is one coat over Sally Hansen Insta Dri Ruby Rush. I am sort of reminded of the now defunct NerdLacquer Nebula with this, so if you are lemming that Taylor looks pretty close.

Next, is Erica. One coat over Orly Fresh. Very pretty and versatile for layering!

Here is Eva, a pretty cranberry glitter. I layered 1 coat over Dr.'s Remedy Purple Passion.

This is Mary, also layered over Dr.'s Remedy Passion Purple. This one's also got a bit of a tinted base,

Next is Carol, and probably my favorite of the bunch. I'm loving this mix of glitters! I did 2 coats over Color Club Antiquated.

And finally, here is Christina. One coat over Dr.'s Remedy Essential Emerald. I have a soft spot for all teal green polish, so I really like this one!

As always, the formula was amazing on all of these!

Shimmer Polish Swatches and Review Part 1

Hello again everyone!

I am carving pumpkins tonight with the fam...we are a little late but better late than never right? Maybe I will post a pic if I like how mine turns out. ;)

I am back today to show you guys some more swatches from Shimmer Polish. I previously featured Shimmer *here* and *here*. In those past posts, I showed you what Shimmer looks like layered over other polishes in one coat. This time I thought I would show you Shimmer as a full coverage option. These babies are versatile!

First, is Tiffany. This is 2 coats with a little dabbing to fill some spots (this is pretty much what I did for all of these swatches). I used Zoya Rory as underwear. This one sort of reminds me of a baby shower!

This is Brooklyn. I used Zoya Robyn for underwear. I like the random mix of glitters that totally work together to create this.

Here is Mary. I layered this over Zoya Anaka. I'm loving the holo glitter in this one!

Next up is Katherine. This one is a little different from most Shimmer because it's got one size of glitter. This is full coverage in about 2 coats which is fantastic!

As with all other Shimmers I have used, the formula was awesome on all of these. And I actually think I prefer them as full coverage! What about you?

Also, I wanted to add that Shimmers are great for a blingy pedi! I love using full coverage glitter in my pedicures and these definitely fit the bill. :)

Shimmer Polish Swatches and Review Part II + Bottle Shots and Swatch Roundup

Hey readers!

I hope you all had a great weekend. I have lots of fun things to show you guys this week but today I need to show you the second half of the Shimmer Polish I promised! You can see the first half of my swatches *here*.

The first of this half is Jennifer. This is one coat layered over China Glaze Pink Plumeria. I had a hard time capturing this beauty, so you get 2 pictures and hopefully you can get this gist!

Next is Alice. I layered one coat over Revlon Aloof on all but my ring finger which is 2 coats. Alice is so delicate and has sort of a milky-ish base. This polish is very pretty layered or full coverage.

Next up is Carmen, a lovely bronzy glitter. Here is one coat over Orly Oh Cabana Boy. 

This is Linna. I did one coat over Color Club Pretty in Platinum on all but my ring finger which is 2. Linna has sort of a Christmas vibe to it!

And the final Shimmer I have for you is called Strength. I did one coat over CND Ashphalt. Look at the awesome coverage Strength gives in just one coat! There are gunmetal hearts in this polish and they didn't really want to come out on their own so I fished one out but it got squished under some smaller glitter so it's kinda hard to tell what's going on there. But trust me it's a really pretty addition to Strength!

So like I said in Friday's post the formula on these are all fantastic and one coat of glitter gives amazing coverage. I think these are top quality indies for sure!

Shimmer Polish Swatches and Review Part I

Happy Friday readers! 

I've got some eye candy from Shimmer Polish to show you today! This is my first experience with this brand so I was excited to see what they are all about. 

Just to note since it applies to all the polishes I am going to show you: I am happy to report that all of the polishes I have used from Shimmer are phenomenal in quality and formula. It's surprisingly thin (in a good way) and doesn't get all chunky and thick on the brush. No issues at all!

Alright, so I have 5 swatches to show you today and tomorrow I will have 5 more. That way you aren't on glitter overload because these are a lot to take in... in a good way! Also, these can vary from a one coat topcoat to a full coverage glitter depending on how many coats you do and the look you are going for. Each polish from Shimmer is so complex and really tells a story. You can tell that these are not just sloppily mixed together...a lot of thought has to go into these awesome glitter combos!

So first up is Nichole. I layered one ridiculously easy coat over Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White Out. This is a mixture of red, blue and silver glitter in various sizes.  

This is Vicki, a rosy pink with what looks to be a bit of silver mixed in. I put one coat over China Glaze Aquadelic. Don't you love how much coverage one coat gets you?!

This is Trisha layered over Peachy Keen from China Glaze. I did one coat on all but my ring finger which is two. This polish is really pretty for fall.

Here is Kim over Zoya Natty. One coat and amazing coverage! This is a mixture of mostly blue glitters with some purple in there as well.

And my final Shimmer for today is Tracy. I really love this one! I layered this over Sinful Colors Black on Black. I did 2 coats on my ring finger. This really makes the gold pop but check out all those tiny flecks of color as well! Gorgeous.

Shimmer Polish really is one of a kind in terms of the kinds of glitter polishes offered. My favorite thing about Shimmer is the formula though. I wish ALL glitters were this easy to work with and have such awesome coverage!
