Lush Lacquer Hey Jack! + Nail Decal

Hello readers!

It's been a chill Saturday for me. I spent my afternoon doing some swatching but I was barely hanging on to good lighting since it was overcast all day. 

I've got another Halloween mani to  show you tonight. I layered 1 coat of Hey Jack! from Lush Lacquer over Zoya Mira. Very fun contrast! I had some decals from Rue 21 that I never used from last year that I used for an accent nail. I was very surprised these were still usable after so long!

Loreal and Project Runway The Artsy Muse Nail Decals

Hi readers!

I recently saw a limited edition display in Walgreens from Loreal and Project Runway called Electric Fantasie (spelled weird, I know). There was all kinds of fun makeup items but these nail decals stuck out most to me. These are called The Artsy Muse and are a cute take on the half moon nail art trend. 

So as much as I really loved the design and application wasn't too bad, these decals really started to bug me after a few hours! You can probably notice wrinkles along some edges. These lay perfectly flat after application but they wouldn't stay that way! Ugh it was so annoying...and once I could see the texture and feel it I had to take these off.

It's a shame these weren't my fave for how cute they are! I am starting to form the opinion that if the strips aren't real nail polish like the Sally Hansen ones, they aren't going to be as good.

Have any of you had a better experience with these kinds of nail strips? 

Jamberry Nails Newspaper on Neutral

Hi guys! 

It's Dustin's birthday today! We have lots of orders to fill for You Mix but I still plan on making a cake and having some sort of celebration!!

My post today is sort of an intro to Jamberry Nails. I have never used them before and they aren't your typical stick on and go nail decals. These use heat from a hair dryer to activate the adhesive that sticks to your nails. Since this was my first time using them, I had a bit of a learning curve to figure out with application. I will go into more detail in a later post so I can give you my tips and tricks because they are different.

The design I am sporting here is called Newspaper on Neutral. I paired an accent nail with it in Zoya Tamsen. I like this look!

Besides application being a bit different, the only downfall I had with these was that I didn't have a perfect fit for my nail shape. I needed a little more curve towards the top sides of my nail.

How many of you have tried Jamberry Nails before? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Forever 21 Leopard Print Nail Decals

Hello guys! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Mine was relaxing and included a couple naps so that's always a plus. ;)

I was buying some jewelry online from Forever 21 recently and couldn't help but check out the nail section. They have a pretty extensive selection of nail polish at a cheap price but I was intrigued by these nail stickers and they were only $1.80 so I had to give them a try. So here is the design I chose...actually this might have been the only one.

So at first glance and from a distance these look pretty good. If you look closer though, they look kinda fake and not all the edges are laying down flat. I had some issues with application because there wasn't a good size selection for my nails, but other than that they went on ok. I only kept these on for a day because they were bothering me too much. haha 

If you wanted to wear these for a special event or something I would say go for it, but I wouldn't recommend them for long term wear. With the price though, you can't go wrong!

What are your thoughts on these? Have any of you tried them?
